SCHOOL PROJECTS

I am passionate about the development of creative thinking within schools and the myriad of ways that creative engagement benefits children. Access to creative thinking, exploring and making is vital for the development and well-being of young people. I firmly believe the arts have a unique position in education and are sufficiently diverse to support and enhance the whole curriculum.

As a highly qualified artist and art educator, I have designed a broad range of bespoke activities for both Primary and Secondary schools. Projects have ranged from one off workshop sessions to large scale co-produced commissions, and include:

  • Art and Design curriculum based projects
  • Extra-curricular projects, including after school clubs
  • Arts Award delivery
  • Murals
  • Stage Sets and props
  • Stained Glass windows

During my 25 year career within the arts, I have developed a long and successful track record of delivering Professional Development for educators. Most recently, as an artist practitioner with the Tees Valley Cultural Partnership, supported by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation, I have designed and developed creative CPD sessions for primary staff. I have also been commissioned as a freelance consultant in raising achievement with GCSE students and secondary staff in County Durham.
